The Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) is the world’s leading source for the supply chain profession. The Kansas City Heartland Roundtable provides companies and professionals in the Kansas City region with educational and networking opportunities to grow their business and professional careers. CSCMP Heartland Roundtable also engages students interested in a career in supply chain by providing scholarships to attend the Annual CSCMP Conference and encourages students to attend roundtable events for free. In 2015 a young professionals group was created to enhance the number of young professionals in the supply chain industry.
The CSCMP 2015/2016 year will kick off in September with an update from General Motors Fairfax Plant Manager Bill Kulhanek on automotive supply chain trends. The Heartland Roundtable has numerous educational and informational topics planned for the rest of the year. Including: Cyber Security and the Internet of Things, Lean Leadership and Distribution, Supply Chain and Logistics Talent, Using Data to Determine System Automation, and Supply Chain in the Boardroom. The roundtable is also planning a tour of Logistics Park Kansas City and a volunteer day with Harvesters.
