CarMax Opening Customer Experience Center in KC Area

Congratulations to our partners in Olathe on the announcement that CarMax, the nation’s largest retailer of used cars will open a 38,000-sq.-ft. operation in the 119th St. Tech Park at 17300 W. 119th Street. The company plans to hire approximately 300 talented associates for the new location.

Customer Experience Centers are a key component of CarMax’s new customer-driven buying experience, which empowers customers to buy a car on their terms. CarMax Consultants working in the Center will support customers over the phone or online with shopping and financing until the customer is ready to pick up their vehicle at an area store or receive the vehicle through home delivery.

The opening of the Customer Experience Center in Olathe builds on CarMax’s more than 15-year history in the Kansas City market. The KC region competed with several markets for this operation.
