KC Data Advantage | Workforce

by Lexi Ryan | Apr 28, 2020

With most of the KC region now in week six of #StayHomeKC, workforce availability is shifting. While some companies are furloughing or downsizing employees, several others are expanding their workforce. Additionally, the KC region continues to be evaluated competitively for new operations.

For an update on permanent closings, downsizings, openings and expansions in the greater KC metro region, visit The Greater Kansas City Profile and scroll down to the expandable list titled, “Corporate Openings, Expansions, Downsizings & Closings.”

KCADC keeps a regional database of major employers  equipped with headquarters, Fortune 1,000 companies, household names and more. Companies are sorted by architectural engineering, bioscience, contact centers, distribution, financial services, headquarters, information technology, insurance, manufacturing and other. Companies are also sortable by the number of employees.

To adapt to circumstances affected by COVID-19, TeamKC created a list within KC Career Network of employers  hiring to help top talent in KC  find full-time employment and temporary positions.

These above lists are dynamic and will continue to change as employers open in the region. Bookmark this blog post for an always update-to-date outlook regarding workforce in KC.
