ALPLA Inc. North America Selects KC For Plastic Packaging Manufacturing Facility

by Laura Patriquin | Oct 25, 2021

Congratulations to our partners in Kansas City, Missouri, on ALPLA Inc. North America’s investment in a 246,000-sq.-ft., rail-served injection molding facility in Kansas City, Missouri. The new facility, located at the Blue River Commerce Center, will create 75 jobs and is slated to begin construction in late 2021 with a completion date in the fourth quarter of 2022. Cushman & Wakefield led the national site selection process and local real estate transaction for this project.

As regional production has increased, the investment and creation of the centrally located, world-class facility will allow ALPLA to embrace new markets and better serve customers in the Midwest.

“We are excited about our new Kansas City site which represents a key element of our growth strategy and our continued commitment to the expansion of our injection molding capabilities,” said James Rooney, Managing Director, ALPLA, North America.

As one of the global leaders in packaging solutions, the site will enhance ALPLA’s scope of innovation and facilitate the demand of recent business. “This is a strategic initiative expanding our volume and footprint,” noted Rooney.

The Kansas City Area Development Council was proud to partner with the following organizations in attracting ALPLA Inc. North America to the KC region:
